Referral Coordinator

City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: SMG Family & Internal Medicine Physicians Careplex W 300 is now hiring a Referral Coordinator in the Hampton, VA area! Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, dayshift. This position is remote. Overview: Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider. Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
