QA Engineer - SaaS Startup

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-14

Hey! We’re Scale Up, and our client is looking to hire a QA Engineer for a SaaS Startup Type of Employment: Contractor (Long-term) Work Modality: 100% Remote Work Schedule: Full-time Time Zone: Pacific Time (West Coast) – availability until 6:00 PM PT Location: Brazil (only) About Our Client Our client is a Partner Revenue Growth Platform, built by partnership leaders for partnership leaders. The platform replaces clunky tools with an intuitive, automated system that helps partner teams enroll, enable, engage, and track revenue at scale. They are bootstrapped, profitable, and growing 600% year over year. In under 18 months, they’ve become one of the fastest-growing platforms in the category, consistently winning deals against legacy incumbents. The team moves fast, builds intentionally, and cares deeply about real outcomes—not vanity metrics. If you want to work on meaningful problems with smart people and help shape a category that’s still being defined, you’ll feel at home here. The Role We are hiring our client’s first dedicated QA Engineer. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lay the foundation for a robust testing culture. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive automated testing strategy across a Bubble-based platform. Over time, this role will expand into building and leading a QA team as the company scales. We’re looking for someone who thrives on writing a high volume of automated tests—functional, regression, and end-to-end—using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). You’ll work closely with engineering and product to catch issues early, ship faster with confidence, and ensure the product meets enterprise-grade reliability and quality standards. What You’ll Do

  • Own QA as the first dedicated hire, building automated testing from scratch.
  • Write end-to-end automated test suites for a Bubble-based app (UI, workflows, and APIs).
  • Create regression test coverage to ensure stability as new features are released.
  • Develop scripts to handle dynamic and asynchronous elements within Bubble.
  • Partner with engineers to identify risk areas and improve overall test coverage.
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate with the team to resolve issues quickly.
  • Establish testing best practices and QA documentation.
  • Scale the QA function—hiring, mentoring, and leading a team as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer in Test.
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Hands‑on experience writing automated tests for web applications.
  • Familiarity with testing no‑code/low‑code platforms (Bubble experience is a strong plus).
  • Solid understanding of modern web technologies (JavaScript, APIs, JSON, browser dev tools).
  • Experience testing SaaS products in a fast‑paced startup environment.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and highly focused on product quality.
  • Motivated by the opportunity to own QA from day one and build a team.

Why Join This Opportunity

  • Be the first QA hire at a rapidly growing, profitable SaaS startup.
  • Shape the future of quality engineering within the organization.
  • Work on a product redefining a large and growing market (Partner Relationship Management).
  • Collaborative, fast‑moving, founder‑led team that values impact over bureaucracy.
  • Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and benefits.
