About the position United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic PRN Registered Nurses to join their team as 1099 Independent Contractors. This role involves providing comfort and exceptional care directly to the homes of energy workers. The position offers a flexible, independent environment where nurses can build meaningful relationships with patients and provide holistic care that extends beyond medical needs. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to ensure each patient receives personalized, comprehensive care.
  • Guide and educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Provide gentle assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
  • Coordinate schedule directly with patients, aligning with their plan of care, approved hours, and personal preferences.
  • Monitor and promptly report any changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
  • Administer medications and treatments with precision and care, as prescribed by their treating physician.
  • Communicate seamlessly with Case Managers and collaborating physicians or specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and heartfelt patient logging in the EMR system.
  • Offer invaluable advice and heartfelt emotional support to patients and their family members.
  • Prepare and provide clear, compassionate clinical notes and charting that tell the patient's story.

Requirements

  • A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.
  • A willingness to travel, bringing care directly to patients' homes.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Ability to pass a state & federal background check.
  • Malpractice Insurance is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, coupled with a warm, empathetic approach.
