Senior Payroll Tax Services Representative

Role Summary The Senior Payroll Tax Services Representative serves as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for clients navigating complex payroll tax compliance requirements. This role manages end-to-end payroll tax processing, reconciliation, and filing across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence. The Senior Representative mentors junior team members and partners cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

Manage and process payroll tax filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions with accuracy and on-time delivery. Research and interpret payroll tax regulations, staying current with legislative changes and advising clients accordingly. Perform tax account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Respond to tax agency notices, conduct root-cause analysis, and coordinate responses on behalf of clients. Serve as an escalation resource for junior representatives on complex payroll tax issues. Collaborate with internal teams including implementation, support, and product to resolve client concerns. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 5+ years of payroll tax processing experience, with demonstrated knowledge of multi-state compliance. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and filing requirements. Experience working directly with tax agencies on notices, audits, or reconciliations. Proficiency with payroll software platforms; experience with Greenshades or similar SaaS solutions is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-technical audiences. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred. This is a remote position. Apply To This Job
