Our client, a leading general contractor renowned for its work on landmark construction projects, is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to support its operations. This position is fully remote, allowing the successful candidate to work from anywhere in the US. The Senior BIM Coordinator will be instrumental in managing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across diverse construction projects. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary design models, facilitating clash detection, and ensuring the seamless integration of BIM into all project phases, from pre-construction to closeout. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing BIM execution plans for various construction projects. Coordinating and integrating 3D models from different disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks). Performing clash detection and resolution, identifying and documenting discrepancies between models. Generating reports and visualizations from BIM models for project teams and stakeholders. Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure effective BIM utilization. Managing the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries and standards. Providing training and support to project teams on BIM software and workflows. Ensuring the quality and accuracy of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle. Assisting in the development of 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost estimating) BIM applications. Staying current with the latest advancements in BIM technology and construction technology. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in BIM coordination and management within the construction industry is required. Proven expertise with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software is essential. Strong understanding of construction processes and interdisciplinary coordination is mandatory. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are necessary. Experience in developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows is highly desirable.
