Adjunct Communication Instructor

Position Title: Adjunct Communication Instructor Requisition Number: A00003P Job Summary/Basic Function Part‑time adjunct instructor of Communication. Teach one or two lower‑division courses per semester as needed. Most adjunct teaching opportunities in Communication are in two courses: COMM 1020 Principles of Public Speaking, COMM 2110 Interpersonal and Small Group Communication, and COMM 1130 Media Writing. This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication.
• Note: Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than Communication will be considered if they also possess a graduate degree in Communication or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field.
• Some teaching experience.
