As a <strong>Senior Project Manager</strong> within our Northern Alberta & Indigenous team, you’ll guide municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in partnership with Indigenous communities—projects that matter for generations to come.</p><p><strong>Applicants not residing in Edmonton will be considered.</strong></p><hr><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects for Indigenous clients, including feasibility studies, system assessments, upgrades, and new infrastructure.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, leadership, and project partners.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Facilitate engagement sessions and workshops to ensure decisions reflect community priorities.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Manage scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality from initiation through completion.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Coordinate multidisciplinary teams—engineers, planners, environmental specialists, and construction professionals.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Prepare proposals and project documentation with culturally appropriate communication.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Support business development and contribute to long-term Indigenous partnership strategies.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Mentor junior staff and foster team growth.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">10+ years managing municipal infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years working with First Nations communities.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology diploma; P.Eng., CET, or P.Tech (Eng.) designation in Alberta.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">PMP certification is an asset.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Experience with lift stations, reservoirs, and pump stations is an advantage.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Ability to present technical information in accessible, community-friendly ways.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Familiarity with Indigenous Services Canada processes and willingness to travel as required.</li><li style="tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></p><p>We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
