This role is for you. As a<span> </span><b>Regional Finance Manager</b>, you will act as the<span> </span><b>CFO of your region</b>, supporting operations in making informed financial decisions. You will be responsible for<span> </span><b>monthly financial close</b>,<span> </span><b>forecasting and budgeting</b>, and<span> </span><b>building financial models (CAT)</b><span> </span>for new business opportunities.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Serve as a<span> </span><b>strategic finance partner</b><span> </span>to regional operations leadership.</li><li><b>Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements</b>, including journal entries and performance reporting.</li><li><b>Lead the annual budgeting process</b><span> </span>and<span> </span><b>monthly forecasting</b><span> </span>for assigned locations.</li><li><b>Build and maintain financial models (CAT)</b><span> </span>for contract bids and new business, ensuring sound financial assumptions.</li><li>Support contract analysis, pricing, and validation of financial performance metrics.</li><li>Train and support location managers on financial tools and processes.</li><li>Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.</li><li>Analyze fleet systems and capital requests, including periodic physical audits.</li><li>Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects, providing insights to regional leadership.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred).</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A.</li><li>Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel, macros, complex formulas).</li><li>Proven ability to<span> </span><b>partner with operations teams</b><span> </span>and influence decision-making.</li><li>Bilingual in French and English.</li><li>Experience in a multi-site environment is an asset.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b>First for a reason:</b></p><p>At First Student, we are a family of 60,000+ employees who take pride in safely transporting more than 5 million students and passengers to and from their destinations each day!
